We're finalists in the inaugural Non-Toxic Awards!

We all deserve to be using non-toxic products on our children, our bodies and in our homes.

The Australian Non-Toxic Awards seek to make it easier, less confusing and quicker for all of us to make the best non-toxic choices.

The Australian Non-Toxic Awards is the only one of its kind to recognise products which are made with the highest ethics and standards in ingredients and materials. They celebrate the best in non-toxic and socially responsible products.

Entry for these awards is subject to very strict criteria and products in the awards contain NO Parabens, Phthalates, BPA, Triclosan, Phenoxyethanol, SLES, SLS from unsustainable Palm or Petroleum, Formaldehyde, Nano-Particles, Microbeads, GMOS and Uncertified Palm Oil.

The entrants have their ingredients and materials scrutinised and researched by Emily Fletcher, the founder of the Australian Non-Toxic Awards and Editor in Chief of My Non-Toxic Tribe. The products are also tried and tested.

The Finalists rosettes represent the top 5 products in each category, demonstrating excellence in non-toxic, quality ingredients and materials, as well as function.

The Australian Non-Toxic Awards were met with an amazing response in their inaugural year and large numbers of high quality entries were submitted. The Finalists in each of the 21 categories were announced on 22 August.

Emily states “A Finalist rosette is a huge achievement and we’d like to thank those awarded brands for all the hard work you have done to prioritise the health and safety of your customers as well as limiting your footprint on the environment for future generations. We are very grateful and I’m sure would love to support you in return.”

The Finalists will then go through further hands-on testing and reviewing by both Emily and a panel of experts. The Finalists are judged on their standards of non-toxic ingredients and materials, quality, function and efforts made for the product to be produced in a socially responsible way.

Emily believes that we as consumers can affect change on a large scale through making educated choices. “By supporting the businesses truly providing non-toxic excellence, we are sending a powerful message that cannot be ignored. As Anna Lappe says ‘Every time you spend money, you’re casting a vote for the kind of world you want.’”
